Adding supplemental fastening rows through the membrane, outside of the normal lap seam area, can be an effective way to enhance the roof cover securement and may be required for some Factory Mutual Global (FMG) system designs. The new Stevens EP™ 9-in. wide membrane product is supplied by Stevens primarily as a cover strip, which can be hot-air welded over such a fastening row that utilizes our larger diameter seam plates (i.e. 2-3/8-in. DeckGrip & 3-in. Maxfast).

This new series of Stevens detail drawings depict the sheet layout and fastening requirements for several common FMG system designs with some utilizing the supplemental fastening rows.
