Stevens Polyisocyanurate Roofing Insulation

State-of-the-art Stevens Polyisocyanurate Insulation products offer superior fire performance characteristics and the ability to retain high R-values. Stevens Polyisocyanurate products are available in a variety of thickness, providing R-values from 6-25. All Stevens Polyisocyanurate is made with exceptional strength, using dimensionally-stable facers for added durability.

Stevens Polyisocyanurate Insulation is compatible with all Stevens EP™, Stevens Hypalon® and Stevens EV® roofing membranes. Stevens Polyisocyanurate Insulation products and Recover Board are FM approved (4450/4470) from 1-60 to 1-270, depending upon attachment option/method.

Attachment Options

Stevens Iso Insulation may be mechanically attached, mopped with ASTM D312 Type III or IV hot asphalt, or adhered with Stevens Insulation adhesive, Stevens Olybond, Insta-Stik, etc. In addition, Stevens Iso can be installed using Stevens Insulation Adhesive.  All Stevens Polyisocyanurate Insulation meets UL Class A Classifications as well as a variety of UL “P” Classifications for fire resistance. Contact the Stevens Technical Department at (877) 788-8324 for details and installation instructions.

Stevens Iso is GREEN

Reversal of ozone depletion has long been an environmental priority. For this reason the Montreal Protocol on Substances that Deplete the Ozone Layer was implemented in 1989.

The Montreal Protocol and the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) established a deadline for eliminating chlorofluorocarbons (CFC’s) and converting to less environmentally harmful hydro chlorofluorocarbons (HCFC’s). This conversion was completed in 1994 but was only a transitional stage to be followed by a ban on production and importation of HCFC’s used in foam plastic roof insulation and other products.

All Stevens Iso 2000 and Iso 2000 Tapered products are manufactured without HCFC 141b. This technology breakthrough is so significant that the inventors of Stevens Iso 2000 insulation were awarded the prestigious U.S. EPA’s 1998 Stratospheric Ozone Protection Award.

Stevens Iso 2000 and Iso 2000 Tapered insulation made without HCFCs are truly “green” building products, and meet the requirements of the US Green Building Council’s “LEED” (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) program, and are listed in BuildingGreen’s “GreenSpec” binder.

The numerical ratings as determined by ASTM Test method E 84 are not intended to reflect hazards presented by this or any other material under actual fire conditions. *Model building codes allow a maximum Flame Spread Index of no more than 75 for Foam Plastic Insulation. However, flame spread values do not apply to roof deck constructions that have passed recognized fire tests such as FM 4450 or UL 1256. Smoke Developed Index does not apply to roofing (see ICBO, BOCA, SBCCI model building codes, Chapter 26). The physical properties listed above are presented as typical average values as determined by accepted ASTM test methods and are subject to normal manufacturing variation. This data is offered as a service to our customers and is subject to change.
