Stevens Insulation Adhesive

Stevens Insulation Adhesive is a VOC-free, one-part, rising, moisture-cure foam adhesive designed for bonding most insulation and recovery boards to most flat roofing decks. It is also ideal for bonding insulation and recovery boards directly to mineral surfaced modified bitumen. In fact, Stevens Insulation Adhesive is also ideal for adhering insulation to steel, concrete, plywood, OSB, fiberboard, Tectum and gypsum.

Stevens Insulation Adhesive is available in 1- and 2.5 gallon (3.7- and 9.4 liter) F-style cans and can be cart or hand applied. The insulation board is placed into 3/8- to 1/2-inch (9.5 - 12.7 mm) liquid beads of the adhesive that will foam in place within 7 to 30 minutes after application, depending on the temperature and humidity levels. The insulation can generally be roofed over within 15 to 30 minutes, and the adhesive reaches a full strength cure within 24 hours. Once cured, the bond is highly resistant to heat, water and most chemicals.

Easy to Use and Saves Labor

Stevens Insulation Adhesive does not require expensive mixing or spray-rigs, electric power or air-pressure, and allows for fast installation of up to 75,000 square feet (7,000 m2) per day. Plus with Stevens Insulation Adhesive only one walk-in is typically required, and since mechanical fastening is not required, you can save considerable time and labor. Empty adhesive containers can be disposed as regular refuse.

Coverage Rates

While coverage rates will vary depending on the type of deck surface and the insulation type, a coverage rate of 350 square feet (32.5 m2) per gallon is typical when using 3/8- to 1/2-inch beads, 12-inches (304 mm) on center.

Stevens Insulation Adhesive is approved for use with the following substrates (contact the Stevens Technical Dept. for Factory Mutual approval information):

· Structural Concrete
· Lightweight Concrete
· Gypsum (poured and plank)
· OSB/Plywood
· Tectum
· Mineral Surfaced Modified Bitumen*

In addition, Stevens Insulation Adhesive can be used with the following insulation and/or recovery boards:

· Expanded Polystyrene
· Extruded Polystryene
· Fiberboard
· Polyisocyanurate
· Gypsum

Packaging & Warranty

One gallon cans of Stevens Insulation Adhesive are shipped four cans/carton, 36 cartons/pallet. Two and one-half (2.5) gallon cans are shipped two cans/carton, 36 cartons/pallet. Recommended storage temperature is 50^o to 80^oF (10^o to 26^oC) in a dry area out of direct sunlight. Opened containers must be used right away. Product shelf life is six (6) months when properly stored. Stevens Insulation Adhesive comes with a standard 10-year warranty, which is included under the terms of the Stevens Warranty when used per Stevens specifications and installation recommendations in an approved and warranted Stevens installation.
