Stevens Roofing

About Us

Since 1863

Our history of rubber compounding and calendaring dates back to 1863 and the founding of our forerunner, the Easthampton Rubber Thread Company, a manufacturer of square-cut rubber thread and tape for the apparel industry.

In 1975, the company -- then part of J.P. Stevens & Co. -- entered the pond and pit lining business with a reinforced, Hypalon-based containment membraneA few years later, Stevens began manufacturing commercial roofing membranes under private label agreement.

Today, Stevens Roofing Systems --  with more than 140 years of combined rubber compounding experience -- is a business unit of JPS Elastomerics, a division of JPS Industries, Inc. (JPST.PK).

Stevens Geomembranes (www.stevensgeomembranes.com) is the World's Leading Manufacturer of Polypropylene and Hypalon Geomembranes for use as liners, floating covers, baffles, mining heap leach pads, canal liners, agriculture waste liners and landfill covers among other critical containment applications.

Stevens Roofing Systems is a leading manufacturer of thermoplastic roofing membranes for commercial, industrial, and institutional applications.  We currently offer three membrane options: Stevens EP™ (TPO), Stevens EV® (Elvaloy) and Stevens Hypalon® (CSPE), in a variety of thickness and architecturally pleasing colors. All of which are made in our ISO 9001:2000 registered facility.  Stevens Roofing Systems is marketed in nearly 40 countries around the globe, and well over 2 billion square feet of Stevens membrane has been installed worldwide.
